The Gearbox Tester is a testing machine for the aviation industry used to test helicopter's accessory gearbox.
This testing machine is used to simulate a jet engine’s load on a helicopter’s accessory gearbox; the crucial link which connects the air conditioning pump to the jet engine. The gearbox tester uses an innovative motor and generator system to efficiently apply a specific load and speed pattern to the accessory gearbox’s input shaft.
Custom powder coated, CNC formed sheet metal ensures user safety during the high-speed gearbox test procedure. All loading and speed test data is recorded by the gearbox tester’s PLC system.
The gearbox tester is fully automated and incorporates a number of quality assurance features to ensure that every gearbox is tested exactly the same way, every time.
