The strap stretcher is an aviation end-of-production proof-testing machine for helicopter strap packs.
The machine applies a tensile load to stretch helicopter strap packs; the critical components which attach the helicopter’s rotor blades to the rotating main rotor hub.
The strap stretcher is fully automated and requires minimal user input to stretch straps. The user is provided with fully formatted documentation of all of the details of the stretch. The strap stretcher is made up of a machined steel frame, enclosed by CNC formed sheet metal components. The load measurement and hydraulic control systems are operated through custom designed, user-friendly software.
